Lavender White Chocolate Chip Scones

Ingredients

  • 2+1/2 cups All-Purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick cold butter cut into pieces
  • 3/4 cup milk I used 1%
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dried lavender
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Place flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a food processor and pulse until combined.
  4. Add the butter pieces and pulse again until the butter and flour mixture has become crumb consistency.
  5. Add milk and vanilla and pulse until the dough is wet thoroughly and then add the chips and lavender.
  6. Pat out into a circle on a lightly floured surface.
  7. Using a sharp knife cut the circle in 8 pieces (or use a cutter to make circles or other shapes)
  8. Place on baking sheet and brush with cream.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes or until scones turned lightly brown.
  10. Remove from oven and transfer to a wire rack until they have cooled completely.
