Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 10 oz package black candy melts
  • 2 cups cornflakes
  • 1/4 cup black glitter sugar
  • 1 oz white chocolate or candy melts or candy eyes.

Instructions

  1. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and fit each with a baking rack on top. Set aside
  2. Reserve 1 melt and chop the rest of the candy melts into small pieces.

  3. Melt the coconut oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-low heat.
  4. Add the chopped candy melts
  5. Stir until combined and everything has melted together.
  6. Add the cornflakes and stir to coat completely. Remove from heat.
  7. Use a tablespoon to drop clusters of the mixture one at a time onto the prepared baking racks over the baking sheets.
  8. Sprinkle the black glitter sugar over the wet clusters.
  9. When the clusters have dried completely, shake each off to remove the excess sugar and return them to the racks.
  10. Place the white chocolate and leftover black candy melt in separate bowls and melt in the microwave.
  11. Use a disposable pastry bag fitted with a #2 tip or snip off a small piece of a corner of a ziplock bag. Fill the bag with the white chocolate and pipe two white circles on each cluster for eyes.
  12. Use a toothpick dipped in the melted black candy to dot pupils into the center of each white circle for pupils.
  13. Let the eyes dry completely before plating and serving.
