Toast walnuts in a naked skillet. Set aside.

Peel & core pear, cut into small pieces

Mix pear with cooled walnuts, lemon juice & zest, raisins, sugar & spices.

Let stand 15 minutes.

Melt the butter.

Preheat the oven to 325F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the puff pastry into a long rectangle on a lightly floured surface.

Cut in half.

Brush both pieces with butter.

Sprinkle evenly each side with breadcrumbs.

Spread the spiced pear mixture.

Roll each strip up from the long side.

Place on baking sheets, seam side down.

Brush with butter.

Bake 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cut each log in half & carefully transfer to a baking rack.

Place over the parchment lines baking sheet.

Let cool completely.

Whisk together the powdered sugar, pear liqueur & water.

Pour glaze over the strudel.
-
When glaze has dried, cut into pieces, plate, & serve.
