Jalapeño Simple Syrup

De-stem and de-seed the peppers.

Cut the ribs out and chop into pieces

Place the peppers in a saucepan with the sugar and water.

Bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to low.

Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Remove from heat and let cool completely.

At this point, you can strain out the pepper pieces or keep them in.

Pour into a jar with a tightly fitted lid and chill until use.
