Hazelnut Feta Caramelized Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup hazelnuts
  • 4 shallots
  • 1.5 lbs potatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh dill
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Kosher salt
  • White pepper

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop the hazelnuts.
  2. Peel the shallots and slice them into rings.
  3. Then peel and wash the potatoes. Dice into small cubes.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet.
  5. Add the potatoes to the skillet in one layer.
  6. Fry over medium heat for 5-6 minutes without turning them over until browned.
  7. Add the hazelnuts and shallots and continue frying turning frequently.
  8. Sprinkle the sugar over the potatoes.
  9. Fry, turning occasionally until cooked through.
  10. Sprinkle with dill, salt, and pepper, and stir to combine.
  11. Transfer to a serving dish. Top with the feta and serve.
