Make the cookie dough according to the recipe's instructions.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Line a cookie sheet with baking paper.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface.

Cut out squares and the same number of hearts.

Turn the square so the corners are pointing up and down.

Fill each square with jam in the center.

Use a small paintbrush to spread the jam out.

Fold the bottom corner up.

Then fold the side corners towards the center.

Press a heart shape onto the center over the folds.

Transfer to the prepared baking sheets.

Place in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Bake 12 minutes until golden brown.

Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.

When the cookies have cooled completely, paint the hearts.

Dip the second paintbrush into vodka, then into the gold dust, and paint the heart shapes on the cookies.

When the hearts have dried, plate and serve.
