Valentine's Candy Bark

Ingredients

  • 1/2 bag of vanilla-flavored red candy melts
  • 1/2 bag of vanilla-flavored pink candy melts
  • Shortening for greasing cutters
  • 1 cup Valentine's candy variety

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Grease several (I used 8 medium-sized) cutters and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. In a heatproof bowl, place the red melts on one side and the pink on the other.
  4. Microwave the melts 30 seconds at a time, and stir each side separately until both sides are melted.
  5. If the consistency is not thin enough for pouring add a dab of shortening to each side and mix in.
  6. When both sides are equally melted, gently swirl them together. Do not overmix or you will lose the swirl effect.
  7. Use a rubber spatula to fill each cutter about halfway. Work with 2-3 cutters at a time.
  8. Place candy on top, pressing them into the mixture.
  9. Let cool and harden completely, remove from cutters, and serve.
