Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark rum
  • 3 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons ginger liquor
  • Fresh ginger slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the butter, sugar, extract, and spices In a saucepan.
  2. Melt everything together, stirring frequently.
  3. when the sugar has completely melted, add the rum and that water.
  4. Stir to combine.
  5. Stir in the ginger liquor and bring to a gentle boil.
  6. Pour into mugs
  7. Garnish with freshly grated ginger slices (optional)
