Strawberry Puff Pastry Hearts

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • Flour for dusting
  • 2/3 cup jam or jelly

Instructions

  1. Roll out the puff pastry on lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.

  2. Spread the jam out over the entire surface.

  3. Trim off the uneven edges.

  4. Use a ruler to measure the halfway point on each short side and make a notch at each point with a knife.

  5. Roll up each side, from the long side to the center.

  6. Wrap in plastic cling film and pinch a seam into the bottom of the dough.

  7. Freeze 40 minutes.

  8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  9. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  10. Cut the roll into 1/2 inch pieces and lay them down on the baking sheet. Make sure you wipe off excess jam a to prevent burning.

  11. Pinch the bottoms to create a heart shape.

  12. Bake 15 Minutes.

  13. Transfer to a baking rack to cool completely.

  14. Plate & Serve.
