Gently rinse the figs and pat them dry. Cut each into eight sections.
Place the figs in a large clean jar.
Add the rock sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon stick and fill with the vodka.
Close the jar tightly and stow it for 8 days in a cool place.
Shake the bottle daily until the rock candy has dissolved.
Strain the liquid into a small (1 cup capacity) sterilized bottle.
Close the bottle and store it in a cool, dark place.
