Rhubarb Blood Orange Margarita

Rhubarb Syrup:

Margarita:

Granulated sugar for the rim

blood orange juice
2-3 oranges

rhubarb syrup

shots tequila

Ice
Make the Rhubarb Syrup:

Place the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.

Add the fresh rhubarb pieces. Lower the heat.

Cook for 15 minutes or until the rhubarb has completely softened.

Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth back into the saucepan.

Stir in the lemon juice and Let cool completely.
Make the Margarita:

Dip the rims of two glasses into

Juice the oranges.

Blend 1/2 cup of the rhubarb syrup, the blood orange juice, tequila, and 2 cups of ice until slushy.

Pour into 2 glasses and serve.
