Cut the onion into pieces

Peel the apple and rutabaga and cut them into pieces.

Add the apple juice to the pan.

Turn the heat down to low and simmer for 45-50 minutes, until the rutabaga pieces are tender.

Transfer to a food processor or blender and puree.

Let the mixture cool completely
