Prepare the Rice:
Start by taking 6 cups of rice. To start this Thanksgiving Leftovers Fried Rice, cook rice from scratch or use leftover rice. For example, I hoard rice leftover from Chinese food orders in my freezer. In most cases, I use it to make my own fried rice. This is actually when I got this recipe idea. Fry the rice with onions until it reaches a golden brown hue. This recipe has a large sweet only but use any you have leftover. Spread the mixture evenly out on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Furthermore, you can prepare this step the day before. Place the rice in the fridge until you are ready.
Layer on the Thanksgiving Leftovers:
Take your Thanksgiving leftovers, including Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, and turkey meat. Specifically, for the turkey, use leftover shredded meat or parts like wings and legs. Layer them generously on top of the fried rice, creating a flavorful and diverse base for your dish.
Cranberry Sauce and Gravy:
Dollop cranberry sauce in several real places across the dish for a burst of tart sweetness. Then, transfer the gravy to a squeeze bottle and drizzle it generously over the top. This ensures every bite is infused with rich, savory goodness.
Heat up Thanksgiving Leftovers Fried Rice:
Place the sheet pan in the oven and let it heat up for 25 minutes. This ensures that all the flavors meld together, and the dish reaches the ideal temperature.
Serve and Enjoy:
Once heated, take the Thanksgiving Leftovers Fried Rice out of the oven. Serve buffet style or dish it out. This carb bomb is designed to feed a hungry crew of 8-10 people, making it the perfect choice for an after-Thanksgiving brunch.
