This Baguettes with Strawberry Butter recipe takes a bit of commitment and time to make. But I loved learning new skills while completing some of the steps. First, you make the starter (a 14-hour resting process). Then mixing, kneading, and shaping the bread takes a lot of additional rest and rise time. However, I would be lying if I didn’t say that when the bread came out of the oven, I wasn’t giddy. So much satisfaction over the success of creating homemade baguettes!
In full disclosure, this blog has no professional affiliation with King Arthur Flour. However, I’m learning new skills and having a ton of fun with their bake-alongs. So much so, they keep me coming back every month. For example, I loved the process of creating these Baguettes with Strawberry Butter.

The crust turned out crunchy and golden, thanks to a great tip provided in the excellent step-by-step provided by King Arthur Flour. The insides are soft and chewy. Perfection.
Strawberry Butter
A special butter was required to go with my baguette success. Baguettes with Strawberry Butter have a lovely ring to them. So I chopped up one extra-large strawberry and added the pieces plus 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar to one stick (1/2 cup) of unsalted butter. Alternatively, you can puree the strawberry (use 1 extra-large or 2 normal-sized strawberries) and add it to the butter for a smoother spread. I liked the look and the mouth-feel of the strawberry pieces.
