Fall cooking is all about cozy flavors, gorgeous seasonal produce, and finding excuses to eat pastry for dinner. This Smoked Feta Acorn Squash Tart checks every box. It looks ridiculously impressive and requires considerably less effort than its fancy appearance suggests. In fact, there’s a little kitchen cheating involved. And I’m absolutely not sorry.

First, let’s talk crust. Instead of making puff pastry from scratch (because who has time for that?), this tart starts with a cheat puff pastry crust. It’s buttery, flaky, and does all the heavy lifting. Nobody needs to know you didn’t spend the afternoon laminating dough.

The creamy base is equally delicious. Crème fraîche is mixed with an egg, sautéed red onions, and fresh oregano. A generous seasoning of kosher salt and freshly ground pepper pops the flavor. Next, spread this luscious mixture over the pastry crust.

Then comes the fun part. Arrange pieces of roasted acorn squash and crumbled Odessy smoked feta over the creamy base. Gently press them into the mixture so every bite gets a little bit of everything.

Smoked Feta FTW!
Now, let’s give the smoked feta its moment in the spotlight. Odessy smoked feta is the star ingredient here. Its distinctive smoky, salty flavor adds a deliciously unexpected twist to the naturally sweet roasted squash. While regular feta brings plenty of tang, smoked feta takes this tart somewhere much more interesting.

Once baked, the Smoked Feta Acorn Squash Tart delivers a seriously addictive combination of flavors. Sweet roasted squash meets salty, smoky feta. Meanwhile, bright little bursts of fresh oregano cut through the richness. Caramelized red onions add another layer of sweetness. And that flaky pastry? Well, it’s basically edible happiness.

Best of all, this tart is wonderfully versatile. Serve it as the centerpiece of a casual fall lunch, pair it with a crisp salad for dinner, or slice it into smaller portions as a side dish for Thanksgiving.
This Smoked Feta Acorn Squash Tart brings seasonal flavor, gorgeous color, and just enough culinary drama to make your holiday table memorable. Plus, nobody needs to know how easy it was.
