I swear these don’t taste like toothpaste. Everyone who sampled them (at least 10 people) loved them.
This is the first St. Patrick’s Day treat I made this year. There be another one later in the week. This one was squick and easy to make. The one in the next post. Not so much.
I’m not Irish. My only excuse for all this green mania this week is my love for playing with color and creating crazy combos.
These were absolutely delicious. No toothbrush involved. Pinky swear.
For the Truffles:
I followed the chocolate truffles recipe at Joy of Baking and added a few drops of spearmint flavoring aas a last step before putting the truffles in the fridge to set.
For the Decoration:
I mixed together green and white sprinkles (jimmies), white non pareils and white crystal decorating sugar on a plate and rolled the truffles in them after forming them into little balls.
I placed them back in the fridge until ready to serve.
