Ingredients

  • 3+1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1+3/4 cups rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups plain full-fat yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Grease a large loaf pan.
  3. Whisk together the flour, rolled oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and yogurt.
  5. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture.
  6. Transfer the mass to the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, until the top forms a thick dark golden crust.
  8. Remove and let cool in the pan for at least 1/2 hour before removing from the pan.
  9. Slice and serve.
